Between the three of us there is more than a decade of driving instruction, a psychology background, and years spent working with teenagers and their families in this city. That mix is not an accident. Most of what makes a new driver safe is not mechanical — it is whether they can stay calm, and whether the person beside them can tell the difference between a student who needs pushing and one who needs a minute.

Amalia has spent years mentoring teenagers and families in Brockton, long before there was a driving school attached to her name. That is the part of this work she was already doing — sitting with a nervous kid, talking straight with a worried parent, staying patient when someone is struggling in front of her. Teaching people to drive turned out to be the same job with a steering wheel in it.
Daniel has been a driving instructor for over ten years. Before that he worked as a chef and taught — two jobs that run on the same thing this one does: breaking a complicated process into steps somebody can actually follow, under pressure, without losing their nerve.
Jocyline’s background is in psychology, and she has years of experience working with young people. She reads a car full of teenage nerves accurately — who is genuinely overwhelmed, who is pretending not to be, and what each of them needs from the next twenty minutes.
